Without Truth In Your Life You Are Separated From God
John 8:44. You can know God, but still be separated from God. Besides knowing God, God expects you to act on His truth (Titus 1:16, "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."). His central truth as proclaimed in the gospel of Jesus Christ is for you to love God and to love your neighbor (Mark 12:30-31). If you only do things based on your own likes and dislikes, you are not abiding in God's truth and you are separated from God. You have chosen your own lusts over God's truth. If you say that you are living by God's truth and you follow your own way, you are a liar and God will separate Himself from you (John 8:44, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.). The eternal salvation that Jesus' offers to all mankind comes through faith that enables us to fully surrender to Jesus as our Lord. Through faith and the counseling of the Holy Spirit we are fully equipped to follow in God's truth versus our own ways.
JOHN 8 BIBLE SCRIPTURE John 8:44, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
You Will Lack When You Rely On Yourself Without the Truth of God
Psalms 34:10. Why do people with talents, resources, and good gifts go lacking? It is because they are going it alone without the truth of God. They are like young lions that only rely on themselves, but soon go hungry (Psalms 34:10, "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. Proverbs"). If you really believe in God and understand who He is, why would you not seek His advise in everything that you do? Most people do not know God's truth. Without Christ in their lives, people will make everyday decisions based not on the understanding of God, but based on their own wisdom, power, and riches. This is why many of us are poor, unhappy, unhealthy, frustrated, complaining, resentful, hating, and just plain wanting. We will take it upon ourselves to take inappropriate actions to satisfy our wants.

You Lack When You Rely On Others That are Without the Truth of God
Proverbs 22:16. If relying on our ourselves does not work, we will then seek others to satisfy our wants. Most times this reliance on others goes past getting a helping hand or charity. Our reliance on others soon turns to fulfilling our wants versus God's truth. We will quickly take counsel to fulfill our wants at the expense of hurting our fellowman. We will steal from our employer, we will lie to the insurance company, we will delay in paying our taxes, we will default on loans, we will scheme to take money from others, we will break promises, we will give gifts to polities to gain favor, we will play the lottery in vain hope, or we will give up in addiction (Proverbs 22:16, "He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want."). We lack because we do not know the truth. Judgment comes to us because we neither love God or our fellow man. The only true way to be fulfilled is through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He has the true answers to life and fully equips every believer to fulfill their purpose in life.
PROVERBS 22 BIBLE SCRIPTURE Proverbs 22:16, "He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want."
