Justification

Justification by Faith Brings Us Peace with God

Romans 5:1. Justification by faith is the only way to be in good standing with God and Jesus Christ. Faith comes by us believing in Jesus Christ and God's promises. With us having faith in Jesus Christ, God welcomes us into His presence. Through our faith we are now justified to stand before God – to be at peace with God (Romans 5:1, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”). Without faith in God's eyes, we are disobedient creatures who remain in sin.

Justification by Faith – The Only Way To God

Hebrews 11:2. The only way to be justified with God (to be in good standing with Him) is through faith. Faith is how the prophets and elders in the Bible obtained a good report with God (Hebrews 11:2, “For by it the elders obtained a good report”). “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice...” (Hebrews 11;4). “By faith Enoch ... should not see death” (Hebrews 1:5). “By faith Noah ... prepared an ark...” (Hebrews 11:7). “By faith Abraham ...sojourned in the land of promise..." (Hebrews 11:8-9).

Saving Grace Is Justified By Our Faith and Not By Our Works

Ephesians 2:8. Unless you totally believe that there is no after-life, all people have a desire to go to Heaven and live forever. Because of God’s love for all of mankind He has offered us a free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. If through faith we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we can receive God’s grace of eternal life. This is the only way that any person can have a relationship with God and eternal life. We cannot have God’s saving grace through our good works or being a pretty good person.

Definition of Redemption – Jesus Paid The Ransom For Us To Be Redeemed

Romans 5:9. The key part of the definition of redemption is that a ransom must occur in order for redemption to occur. There are three persons involved in a ransom: the person being ransomed, the savior, and the recipient of the ransom. In the case of Christian redemption the person being ransomed is all of mankind. They are in need of a savior because they are separated from God because of their sinful disobedience. The savior is Jesus Christ who loves us and whose act on the cross has provided all of us with the opportunity for redemption. The recipient of the ransom is God.

God's Free Gift of Justification that Saves Us From the Consequences of Our Sin

Romans 5:16. Even though we have inherited a sin nature, all is not lost. God loves us. The challenge is that even though God loves us, He is a righteous God that by His nature must be separated from sin. Because of God's righteousness nature, He must destroy and punish sin. The question is how can God punish and destroy the sin in us, but still have a loving, eternal relationship with us. The answer to God reconciling with us, sinful mankind, was that He has offered us a free gift.

Justification by Faith - A Blessing Of Believing

Acts 13:39. If we believe in Jesus we are justified by faith before God (Acts 13:39, "And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses"). This is a blessing of believing. We are no longer guilty of sin and disobedience. We are justified by faith before God. Through our justification by faith we can be in the presence of God. We are no longer under condemnation for our sins and separated from God.
