How to Add Value – Stay Pure and Your Work Will Be Right

Proverbs 21:8. The Bible tells us how to add value and how not to add value in any situation. Proverbs 21:8 says, “The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.” This scripture is telling us that if we live by the way of man we will be full of strife and disobedience not adding value to the world around us. On the other hand if we live a life of purity that is pleasing to God, we will add value and our works will be right. The way of man is froward. Froward meaning “habitually disposed to disobedience and opposition”.

Cultural Values Are Defined By Society's Capabilities and It's Religious Views

Ephesians 2:2. The Ingle-Welzel Cultural Map of the World (see map) provides an excellent graphic depiction of what shapes cultural values (See World Values Survey Site for more information on the Ingle-Welzel Cultural Map). Cultural values are principles, standards, or qualities considered worthwhile or desirable to a given society. The depicted cultural map defines all cultures on a two-dimensional scale: how religious the society and the capability of the society to fulfill individual needs.

What is Brotherly Kindness?

Hebrews 13:1. In Hebrews 13:1, Paul tells us to “Let brotherly love continue”. Brotherly kindness and love are not acts that we do on special occasions. It is a lifestyle, a Christian way of life. Paul goes on in Hebrews chapter 13 to tell us what we need to do to have brotherly kindness. Brotherly kindness includes:

Verse 2. “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: ...”
Verse 3. “Remember ... them which suffer adversity ...”
Verse 4. Keep Marriage honorable

Jesus, The One Way

John 14:6. Jesus was a God-man that walked on this Earth. He offers us salvation through His death and resurrection on the cross to whoever will believe in Him. This is why Jesus is the one way for all of us. He shows us by His life on Earth how to live. Through His death he took the punishment for our sin nature, our disobedience against God. By His resurrection He proved to us that we can defeat death. He only asks that we repent of our sins, accept Him as our savior, and accept Him as the Lord over our life.

No Greater Joy Than To Testify The Truth Of God

Acts 20:24. Another joy to being a Christian is the opportunity to testify the truth of God. It is the greatest joy when you are able to deliver God's word to another. Testifying of God's word is not just for preachers, but for any Christian. Anytime we can share God's truth with another human being, it is a joyous experience.

Definitions - Trusting in Our Own Way is A Delusion

Hosea 10:13. You can define delusions from a Christian perspective in that we trust ourselves more than our Creator and His Word, the Bible. How can we say we know better than God what we should do in our lives and not be delusional?

Christians Believe And Repent

Matthew 21:32. Repentance is a key belief of Christians. The Bible teaches about God's righteousness and of His love. Though God loves us He is a righteous God. He cannot be in the presence of our sin because of His righteousness. Only through Jesus and our repentance can we achieve righteousness and be in fellowship with God. We cannot reconcile ourselves back to God by becoming righteous by our own works. We cannot work our way into Heaven and God's good grace.
