1 Corinthians 2:14. The Christian ideas of “New Man” and “Old Man” provides excellent examples of good and bad values. From a Christian perspective there are only two types of values: material or spiritual. The Old Man lives by material (natural) values. Examples of material values include fleshly passions such as sex, food, shelter, sensual pleasures, love of money, and love of material things. Examples of spiritual values include ideals such as truth, love, righteousness, goodness, and so on.
