The Secret Knowledge of God
When most of us think of knowledge, we are thinking of the knowledge that man has acquired over thousands of years. The Bible tells us that the real source of all knowledge and truth comes from God. All knowledge can be divided into two categories. There is revealed knowledge that God has revealed to mankind, and then there is secret knowledge that God has not revealed to mankind. The greatest mystery that God has revealed to mankind is in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus revealed God's salvation plan to mankind as well as made known in human form the nature of God.
Avoid Conflict by Drawing Closer to God
Psalms 31:20. Most of us desire to avoid conflict and strife in our lives. We desire peace. The best way to avoid conflict is to draw closer to God. If you call on Him, He will protect you. No matter what pressures and conflict man can bring upon you, God will protect you. No matter what lies people tell about you, God will protect you. All we need to do is accept His will and stop relying on man or ourselves.
Hope, A Christian Value
Romans 8:24. Hope is a core Christian value. Hope is defined as “to believe, desire, or trust”. A Christian's hope is to believe the promises of Jesus Christ that He can redeem mankind and give us eternal life. All we have to do is accept His offer for Him to be our Lord and Savior. Once we accept Jesus, we must then truly make Him Lord of our lives by putting all our hope in Him. Our continuing hope in Jesus is critical to our eternal salvation. Hope enables us to persevere and patiently wait on Jesus' promises of eternal life.
The Mystery of Godliness Made Clear in Jesus Christ
1 Timothy 3:16. When Jesus walked on this Earth He revealed to us about the nature of God and His Godliness. Jesus came to us as God, the Son, in human form and revealed to us the godliness of His loving and righteous nature. Jesus revealed the full nature of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Jesus as a God-man revealed to mankind the Great Mystery of godliness.
The Bible Says That Hope is Needed To Be Patience
Romans 8:25. The Bible says that both hope and patience are needed to have either one be of any use to anyone. If you have no hope, you will not have any patience. This is self-evident in that if you have no hope or purpose, why wait? Why suffer? Just give up.
On the other hand, the Bible is based on hope. Patience is needed so that hope can be fulfilled in our lives. The hope described in the Bible is our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. If we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved and have eternal life. This is Christian hope.
Secret Knowledge is Truth That God Has Not Revealed to Mankind
Deuteronomy 29:29. Secret knowledge is the providence of God. Organizations that profess to have secret knowledge or truth do not line up with the world of God. God is the source of all knowledge, both revealed knowledge and secret knowledge. When God reveals secret knowledge to a person or group of people, this truth is suppose to be revealed to all of mankind. This is what happened in the Old Testament. God would reveal secret knowledge to a prophet and it was the prophet's purpose to reveal this truth to everyone.
The Secret Knowledge, The Mystery Revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ
Romans 16:26. God is the source of all knowledge, both revealed and secret knowledge. God is who decides what knowledge is revealed to mankind and what knowledge is kept secret. This is what happened almost 2,000 years ago when God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to reveal the greatest mystery to mankind. This mystery was (is) Jesus Christ and His salvation plan for mankind. God in His timing and purpose revealed this great mystery to mankind in the form of Jesus Christ.
God, the Source of Revealed and Secret Knowledge
Daniel 2:22. God is the source of both revealed and secret knowledge. For most people knowledge is usually thought of in terms of man's knowledge, but knowledge and truth is more than what mankind knows. In reality God is the source of truth and knowledge. This is because He is all-powerful, all-present, and all-knowing. He controls the weather, he controls who rules governments, and he is the revealer of knowledge. He knows what is not true (what is in darkness), and what is true (what is in the light).
Discover God to Gain Knowledge of Him. Do Not Define Him
Colossians 2:3. We cannot put God in a box, or pick and choose what attributes of God we want to acknowledge. We must discover God "In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Colossians 2:3). If we discover the attributes of God and believe His promises, we can be the partakers of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust").
The Existence of the Natural and Supernatural
Hebrews 11:3. The world we experience around us is more than what we sense with our five senses. The world consist of both the natural and supernatural. Both the natural and supernatural come from God. God is supernatural and the worlds (the natural) were created by the word of God. To deny the supernatural is to deny God (Hebrews 11:3, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear". .
