Examples of Values – Range from Valuing Material Things to Spiritual Things
Luke 12:20. To understand the definition of values you need to have some examples of values. The parable of the rich fool in Luke 12 provides excellent examples of values. Basically, a value is a thing that someone values. The object of a value can range from material things to spiritual things. Material things include such things as food, money, cars, and houses to name a few. On the other end of the spectrum, values can be spiritual in nature and include such things as truth, love, righteousness, and peace.
Feeling Unloved Because You Do Not Love Yourself
Psalms 139:14. If you are feeling unloved, it is because you do not love yourself. If you are in a loveless marriage, you need to concentrate solely on you. Why are you so broken? Why were you so desperate to get married? Whatever you were running away from then that is haunting you now? The void you are trying to get your husband or wife to fill is reserved for God and God alone. Only He can make you feel safe, loved, and secure. Everything around you can change, but God is the only absolute.
Swift Justice is a Purpose of Government
Ecclesiastes 8:11. The Bible provides a lot of wisdom in regard to the purpose of Government. This not only includes broad, guiding principles such as the Ten commandments, but also on small matters such as how Governments should manage judicial courts. Ecclesiastes 8:11 says, “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil”. Many Governments have laws about swift justice, but many Governments do not practice swift justice.

The Bible Says That Patience is Needed To Be Saved
Luke 21:19. The Bible has a lot to say about patience. Patience is a lot more than just a nice-to-have virtue. It is essential to your salvation. Once you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, patience (long-suffering) becomes one of the fruits (fruit of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22) of your salvation and a necessary virtue to obtain the ultimate prize, eternal life. Yes, salvation is a free gift offered to everyone. All we need to do is accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Accepting Jesus as our Savior takes no patience from us.
The Bible Says Keep Your Heart Under Self-Control
Proverbs 4:23. The Bible says, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23). We may see our circumstances or even our own natural abilities as our biggest problems, but it is really our heart where problems start and end. If we strive daily to keep our heart in check, bad thoughts and actions will cease from materializing in our lives. If we focus our hearts on God, the source of all goodness and love, we will keep our heart under self-control.
The Bible Says That Self-Control Starts With the Heart
Matthew 15:18. The Bible says that self-control starts with the heart. Matthew 15:18-20 says, "Those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man...". We can come up with all types of excuses why we do bad things, but it all comes down to what is inside of us. If heart our is not right, evil thoughts will proceed out of it.
Knowledge of God – Jesus Christ Shining Into Our Heart
2 Corinthians 4:6. The knowledge of God is offered to all of us in the form of Jesus Christ. This new knowledge of God, this mystery, is Jesus Christ who has brought mankind salvation and eternal life . Just as God commanded the light to shine out of the darkness when He created the world; and now God has sent His son as the light of knowledge to the world. Jesus came on this Earth to shine the light of the knowledge of the glory of God into our hearts.
Christian Diligence – Keeping Diligence Over Your Heart
Proverbs 4:23. Christians must continually have diligence over their heart. Out of our human heart springs either good or evil. With Christian diligence based on faith, we can overcome the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”). Faith enables us to surrender our trust completely to God. Our Christian diligence to do good (versus evil) is the ultimate exercise in our faith to show our love and trust of God.
About Freedom – God Tells Us To Submit To Government
Romans 13:1. All of us are concerned about our freedom and rights, but we still need to submit to the power of the Government here on Earth. We may not always agree with our Government, but God has ordained Governments to have power and authority over its citizens. If we unlawfully resist a Government that we think is wrong, we are actually resisting God. (Romans 13:1-2, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
