God Will Punish the Slothful and Reward the Industrious

Matthew 25:29. God desires everyone to be industrious. God has made this world and has made us stewards over His resources. He expects us to be industrious with His resources. Just as in Jesus’ Parables of the Gold Talents, the more talents and resources God gives us, the more He expects of us. Even if you have limited resources, God expects you to do the best with what you have.

If The Lord Is Our Shepherd, Why Do We Lack?

Psalms 23:1. The 23rd Palms say, "The Lord is our shepherd. We shall not want." If this is true, why do we lack?

Our Unbelief In God Leaves Us Unsatisfied

Proverbs 13:25. We are so quick to look for solutions to our problems that will satisfy our needs, but the solutions do not line up with the Word of God. We have sexual desire so we commit adultery. We have financial needs so we put all of our faith in winning the lottery. Someone hurts us so we think the right thing to do is hurt them back. All of these actions do not line up with the Word of God and will not leave us satisfied. In the end, we will end up lacking when we leave God out of our decision-making. We must seek God's will and wisdom.

Good Sheep Rely On God. Baah!

Psalms 23:1. Psalms 23 teaches us that we have a good shepherd that will take care of all of our needs. If God is our Shepherd, then we are His sheep. As a good sheep we rely on God for all of our needs. If we do not stay close to God or listen to Him, we will go astray and go lacking. A sheep with the Lord as it's shepherd is powerful and can take on any challenge of this world. Be a good sheep with a good shepherd. Baah! Baah!

PSALMS 23 BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Psalms 23:1, "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Everyone Can Have More Than Enough, If We Abide In Truth And Not Squander God's Resources

2 Corinthian 8:14. God desires for all of us to live in abundance, but not to squander our wealth and resources. God has given the world abundant resources to satisfy everyone's needs. When we are in a situation where we have more than we need, He desires for us to help out others. When we are in need, He desires for others to help us ( 2 Corinthian 8:14, "But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:").
