Christian Definition of Brethren
Matthew 12:50. Matthew 12:50 spells out the Christian definition of brethren. It says, “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother”. You are a Christian brethren if you voluntarily do the will of God. The Bible teaches us that God's will is for us is to freely accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. With accepting salvation through Jesus Christ, God's will is for all of mankind to receive eternal life and be in fellowship with Him forever.
About Freedom – God Tells Us To Submit To Government
Romans 13:1. All of us are concerned about our freedom and rights, but we still need to submit to the power of the Government here on Earth. We may not always agree with our Government, but God has ordained Governments to have power and authority over its citizens. God allows us to make free choice, but what should we do when we are not in agreement with our Government? What should we do when it appears that our Government is at odds with Jesus’ teachings?

John 13:14. Even Jesus’ simplest acts were life-changing. Romans 6:16. God gave us free will; He gave us choice. Free will is a key aspect of the definition of human nature. We were made in His image and God gave us free will in order for us to freely love Him and worship Him. Worshiping God is our purpose and God gave us free will in order for us to fulfill our purpose.
Resistance Brings Defeat to The Devil In Spiritual Warfare
Victory in spiritual warfare comes from us submitting to God. If we totally surrender to God and put our faith in Him, we will have the spiritual power to resist the devil. We only have to resist the devil to defeat him. Once the devil sees that his craftiness and lies have no effect on us, he will flee from us (James 4:7, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you").

We Confess Sins and Accept God's Free Gift
1 John 4:15. All that mankind is required to do to accept this free gift, is to confess sins, and acknowledge that Jesus is our Lord and Savior (1 John 4:15, "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God."). Only through Jesus can we walk in obedience and be in right fellowship with God and with one another.
Awakening Conscience By Obeying God
Romans 13:5. God is a God of righteousness and a God of Truth. His righteousness demands that we be obedient to Him. His Truth awakens our conscience where we willingly become obedient to Him. As we become more awaken to His truth, we are more led by our conscience to do right in the eyes of God. (Romans 13:5, "Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake").
