Holy Spirit In Us and Godly Relationships - Definition Of Human Nature
Galatians 6:8. From a Christian perspective the definition of human nature cannot be explained adequately without explaining the human nature that is in right relationship with God. Our human nature may have the tendency to follow our sin nature, but that is not why God made us. God made us to worship Him. Jesus Christ gives us that opportunity to repent of our sin nature and be in right relationship with God (Romans 8:12-14, "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
Nature versus Nurture - Our environment does not determine our fate
Romans 8:13. What drives our daily actions? Is it our environment or situation that we are in or is it because of who we are and what we have done in the past?
Sowing to the Flesh or to the Spirit – You Get What You Give
Galatians 6:8. God has created this world where you get what you give, but at the same time God makes the rewards, not ourselves. If we only sow and give to our flesh, we will only reap corruption. The fleshly things in life (food, possessions, sensual experiences, and so on) only bring satisfaction temporarily and quickly pass away. All fleshly things are only desirous temporarily because they quickly decay and corrupt eventually resulting in death. If we sow in the Spirit daily (give genuine love to God and our fellow man), we will reap eternal things and eventually eternal life.
A Born Again Christian is Reborn of the Spirit
John 3:6. When you are born again the spirit in you changes. Before becoming a born again Christian your flesh led the spirit in you. You were dominated by fleshly desires and your purpose was to fulfill the lusts of your flesh. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, God’s Holy Spirit enters you changing your purpose and equipping you to be righteous. If you continue to yield to God’s Holy Spirit He will lead you down the path of righteousness.
Definition of Christian Redemption – The Final Redemption Act Of Our Bodies Glorified
Romans 8:23. The definition of Christian redemption also addresses our physical body. Redemption will occur not only for us spiritually, but also physically. Our body will change from mortal to immortal. The final redemptive act of Christian redemption is the glorifying of our bodies.
The Way To Happiness Is Being Filled With Hope Everyday
Romans 15:13. Having hope is a wondrous thing that is a necessity on your way to happiness. Without hope most things cannot be accomplished. Hope gives you energy and motivation to reach your goal. If you had no hope that you will be paid on your job, would you even go to work?
Intercession in Spiritual Warfare Brings Blessings
Romans 8:26. The Holy Spirit shows us how to make intersession for others. Even when we do know what to pray for, the Holy Spirit will guide us and lead us in spiritual warfare. Intercession is spiritual warfare because through it we secure blessings for others. The Holy Spirit helps us to overcome our own weaknesses and obtain the blessings of God.
The Gift Of Healing Is a Key Weapon in Spiritual Warfare
1 Corinthians 12:9. Healing is a spiritual gift to be used in spiritual warfare. It is a supernatural power to heal all manner of sickness without human aid or medicine. In this case, spiritual warfare reaches down into the physical world to heal and restore health and the body. Healing is not a skill, but a gift from God given through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:9, ";… to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; ".
Through Spiritual Warfare All Can Be Healed
Acts 10:38. The Holy Ghost gives us the power to heal. When the Holy Ghost is in us we have God in us. His power can be used in spiritual warfare to heal people. People that are in need of physical healing are oppressed by the devil or other spiritual power. Through our sinful and imperfect nature the devil can oppress us with every know disease and infirmity.
The Holy Spirit Encourages Us in Spiritual Warfare
Romans 8:16. When the Holy Spirit is in us there is no reason to fear no matter what the circumstances. Fear of our circumstances can inhibit us in spiritual warfare to take on the mind of Christ. The spirit of fear puts us in bondage, but the Holy Ghost reminds us and encourages us that we no longer need to be bound in fear. With the Holy Spirit in us we have received the Spirit of adoption. Spiritually we are now a child of God and a brother of Jesus (Romans 8:14-16, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
