Slave To Sin Explained

Bible Summary. Our sin nature makes us a slave to sin. A slave does what their master tells them to do, even though the slave does not want to do it. God's Commandments Reveal That We Are Slaves to Sin.

The first step to breaking the bondage of sin is to realize that we are slaves to sin. It is the Bible and God's commandments that make us realize that we are slaves to sin. Key Bible Verse: Romans 7:13 advises us how God's commandment enable us to see that we are sinners that are in bondage.

I am Carnal, a Slave to Sin.

Our sin nature makes us a slave to sin. We are carnal. Without a relationship with God, our Earthly passions are so strong that we come under control of our appetites and the influences of evil spirits. A Slave to Sin May be Unwilling, but is Powerless Against Sin.

Being a slave to sin is a perplexing situation. A slave does what their master tells them to do, even though the slave does not want to do it. You are a Slave to Sin if You Commit Sin.

You are a slave to sin if you commit sin. When we sin, we are no longer a servant of God, but a servant of sin. Key Bible Verse: John 8:34 advises us that whosoever commits sin is a servant of sin.
