Knowledge of God – Jesus Christ Shining Into Our Heart

2 Corinthians 4:6. The knowledge of God is offered to all of us in the form of Jesus Christ. This new knowledge of God, this mystery, is Jesus Christ who has brought mankind salvation and eternal life . Just as God commanded the light to shine out of the darkness when He created the world; and now God has sent His son as the light of knowledge to the world. Jesus came on this Earth to shine the light of the knowledge of the glory of God into our hearts.

God, the Source of Revealed and Secret Knowledge

Daniel 2:22. God is the source of both revealed and secret knowledge. For most people knowledge is usually thought of in terms of man's knowledge, but knowledge and truth is more than what mankind knows. In reality God is the source of truth and knowledge. This is because He is all-powerful, all-present, and all-knowing. He controls the weather, he controls who rules governments, and he is the revealer of knowledge. He knows what is not true (what is in darkness), and what is true (what is in the light).

Christian Virtues Display The Christ in Us and the Evidence of Our Separation From Sin

1 Peter 2:9. Christian virtues are a refection of the God in us. The dictionary definition of virtue is “a moral excellence, a goodness, or a righteousness”. Christian virtues can be described as a Godly excellence, a Godly goodness, and a Godly righteousness that is reflected in us. Those of us that have answered God's calling through Jesus Christ have abandoned sin and now bathe in God's marvelous light. As we continue in our Christian walk through faith we separate from sin and begin to reflect Christian virtues. As 1 Peter 2:9 says, we “...

Why Do We Lack If God Promises To Not Withhold Any Good Thing

Psalms 84:11. As a shepherd, God is the giver of grace and glory to His good sheep. If we are His good and faithful sheep, we will not go lacking. All God asks is that we have faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior If we doubt the truth of Jesus or try to do things on our own without God, we will go lacking. We must truly believe in our heart that God will provide for all of our needs. He is our provider and protector.

Having Different Purposes Is A Sign Of A Bad Relationship

2 Corinthians 6:14. If you have different purposes in a relationship, this is a sign of a bad relationship. For Christians all relationships must involve God because God, our Creator, desires it that way. When a Christian and a non-Christian enter a partnership relationship such as a marriage, there will be conflict. This is a case of being unequally yoked. The partnership will continually be pulled in different directions on such issues as the right to life, money, sex, ethics, Christian service, prayer, worship, church activities, and so on.

The Benefits When You Have Respect For Parents, Children, and God

Psalms 84:11. There are many benefits to having mutual respect for parent, respect for children, and respect for God. If we have a respectful relationship with God, our Father of glory will give us wisdom and revelation of truth (Ephesians 1:17, "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:").

The Power Of Belief Turns Us Away From The Power Of Darkness

Acts 26:18. It is natural for us to turn toward the light if our eyes are open, but many of us when it comes to God keep our eyes closed. This is what happens to many non-believers that continue in sin. They are not willing to open their eyes to the light of God and they stay within the power of Satan. They do not want to open up their eyes to God because then they would then be compelled to give up their sin. If we would just open up our eyes, we would see the light of God. Then the power of belief would move us toward the light of God and salvation.

Your Good Works Exemplify God

Matthews 5:16. Good works by themselves do not get you into Heaven. Eternal life only comes from accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Our act of surrender to Jesus as our Lord allows God’s spirit to enter our lives. He is now our light that we can let shine out to all men. Our light shines out to all men in the form of our good works. By us showing our love through good works to our fellow man, we exemplify and glorify God (Matthews 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”).

Christian Spiritual Warfare is One of Endurance

Hebrews 10:7. Christian spiritual warfare does not end when someone accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This is only the beginning of spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare then becomes a battle of endurance. Yes we have the assurance of salvation, but we will now have to endure a great fight of afflictions (Hebrews 10:32, "But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;"). The devil, our own flesh, and the world will continue to deceive and tempt us to give up the mind of Christ.

Christ Awakens the Conscience

Ephesians 5:14. One of the many things Jesus Christ did on this Earth was to awaken our conscience. He showed proof to us by His resurrection that there is a God and He has victory over death. Jesus demonstrated to us by His life on Earth how to walk in the light with both love and righteousness. The purpose of Jesus Christ's ministry is to awaken our conscience, have us rise from the dead, and walk in the marvelous light (Ephesians 5:14, "Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light."
