Faithfulness

The Bible Says That Hope is Needed To Be Patience

Romans 8:25. The Bible says that both hope and patience are needed to have either one be of any use to anyone. If you have no hope, you will not have any patience. This is self-evident in that if you have no hope or purpose, why wait? Why suffer? Just give up.

On the other hand, the Bible is based on hope. Patience is needed so that hope can be fulfilled in our lives. The hope described in the Bible is our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. If we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved and have eternal life. This is Christian hope.

The Secret Knowledge, The Mystery Revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ

Romans 16:26. God is the source of all knowledge, both revealed and secret knowledge. God is who decides what knowledge is revealed to mankind and what knowledge is kept secret. This is what happened almost 2,000 years ago when God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to reveal the greatest mystery to mankind. This mystery was (is) Jesus Christ and His salvation plan for mankind. God in His timing and purpose revealed this great mystery to mankind in the form of Jesus Christ.

Love is the Greatest of the Christian Virtues

1 Corinthians 13:13. Christian theologians have traditionally identified faith, hope, and charity (love) as the three Christian virtues (Three Theological Virtues). Of the three Christian virtues, love is the greatest (1 Corinthians 13:13, “1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity”). Faith, hope, and love are key Christian virtues today as they have been throughout the history of Christianity. Christian virtue faith means steadfastness in belief that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour.

How To Trust - Trust God, Not Man

Psalms 118:8. The Bible has good advice on how to trust someone. The short answer is love people, but trust no one except God. If you think about it, trust is all centered on the likelihood that someone will fulfill a promise. Examples of promises are: "I will never lie to you", "I will always love you", "I will always be there for you". Most people when they make these promises have every intention of fulfilling these promises, but the problem is that they do not have absolute control over future events. For some people, they do fulfill most of their promises.

Definition of Perfection - Through Faith and Good Works We Can Be Made Perfect

James 2:22. The definition of perfection includes "Completely suited for a particular purpose - accurately reproducing an original". This is how God desires for us to be perfect. He desires for us to exercise our faith in his promises by doing good works to become like Him. To reach perfect holiness it is key that we have a deep faith in God's promises: Jesus is our Savior, eternal life, and so on. The good works to exercise in our faith include any acts of love such as helping people, encouraging them, loving them unconditionally, and so on.

God Rewards the Industrious

Matthew 25:21. Jesus’ story of the five golden talents illustrates how we should be industrious with the talents that God provides us. In the parable, the lord provided each of his servants a certain number of golden talents. It was not said, but it was known by all of his servants that the lord expected them to increase his golden talents while he was gone.

The Power Of Faith In Jesus Christ

Hebrews 11:1. Jesus came on this earth to save us from Hell and eternal separation from God. Jesus showed us how to live. He showed us that mankind can defeat death, and He gave us the plan of salvation. All we have to do is believe in Him that Jesus is the one way to salvation. This is challenging for most of us because what Jesus has done defies our five senses. He performed miracles. He told us He was the son of God. He defeated death.

The Benefits When You Have Respect For Parents, Children, and God

Psalms 84:11. There are many benefits to having mutual respect for parent, respect for children, and respect for God. If we have a respectful relationship with God, our Father of glory will give us wisdom and revelation of truth (Ephesians 1:17, "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:").

Fix A Bad Relationship By Promoting Honesty, Not Envy

When we are in a relationship that involves envy we have basically put ourselves in a position to be tempted by sin and go against God. When you envy you basically desire something that you do not have and something God has not given you. If you continue in your envy the result will be at best frustration, and at worst overt sin to obtain the object of your envy. We must fix a bad relationship that includes envy. Otherwise your envy will lead to lies, strife, fighting, drunkenness, despair, and stealing in an attempt to reach the object of your envy (Romans 13:13-14, "Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof").

Faith and Christianity

What is Christian faith? Why is faith so important? How do you get faith?

These questions are key for understanding Christianity, for new believers as well as all Christians. Christianity and faith go hand in hand. No one can call themselves a Christian without faith in Jesus Christ.

Key Bible Scripture

Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
