Feeling Unloved Because You Are Out of Step With God
Deuteronomy 30:19. When you are having feelings of being unloved, you are in a time of transition. This could be problems with your marriage or any of your relationships. The real problem is your relationship with God. If you are feeling unloved, you are out of relationship with God. You must take responsibility for you and the part you have played in your marriage, your personal relationships, and your relationship with God.
Religious Values Based on Jesus Can Free Us From Sin and Death
Romans 8:2. If we have religious values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, we can be free from sin and death. We can escape death, the consequence of sin, and have eternal life. All we need to do is accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. There are countless ethical or religious values that we can hold dear, but at the end of our natural lives the only surety we will have is death if we do not hold Jesus precious. We can not be perfect before God without us valuing Jesus and His teachings before anything else.
Hope, A Christian Value
Romans 8:24. Hope is a core Christian value. Hope is defined as “to believe, desire, or trust”. A Christian's hope is to believe the promises of Jesus Christ that He can redeem mankind and give us eternal life. All we have to do is accept His offer for Him to be our Lord and Savior. Once we accept Jesus, we must then truly make Him Lord of our lives by putting all our hope in Him. Our continuing hope in Jesus is critical to our eternal salvation. Hope enables us to persevere and patiently wait on Jesus' promises of eternal life.
Show Christian Kindness As God Has Shown Mercy on Us
Titus 3:4. God's kindness and love toward mankind is our best example of Christian kindness. God did not show kindness to mankind because of our works and that we are pretty good people. God offers us the free gift of salvation in the person of Jesus Christ because He loves us (Titus 3:4-5, “But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”).
The Bible Says That Patience is a Characteristic of God
2 Peter 3:9. The Bible says that God is a patient God. Many of us have heard the expression that “I am waiting on God”, but it is really the other way round. God is waiting on us to come around to His kind of thinking. God loves us and has made many promises to mankind. He desires to bless us. He does not forget His promises as a man might forget. He can fulfill all of His promises where a person may have good intentions, but is unable to fulfill their promises. God loves us and He has created mankind for His purposes.
The Bible Says Self-Control is Based on Faithfulness to God
1 Timothy 2:15. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 2:15, “... continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety”. This is the Christian way to have self-control. We must live by faith, love (charity) always, and be holy. By doing this we will have self-control (sobriety). This is the way that God desires for us to live, and He gives us the means to have self-control. Faith begins with us accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Love, agape love (having unmerited favor toward all people), comes from us following the example of Jesus Christ.
Knowledge of God – Our Strength and Our Salvation
Isaiah 33:6. The knowledge of God enable us to not be moved by our circumstances. The knowledge of God enables us to act the same way in good times and in times of strife. When we have the supernatural knowledge that God is our salvation we can draw strength from Him where others will despair. People who rely totally on their wealth and money will despair when they have no money. People that rely on their wisdom and wits will despair when they get in a situation that makes no sense with their natural wisdom.
Good Excuses For Denying Your Calling - I Am Not Capable
Judges 6:15. There are many good excuses for not acknowledging God and the calling that is on our lives. Many of us when we are called by God, we give the good excuse that “I am not capable of fulfilling my calling”. The trouble with good excuses like this is that they do not work with God. God has a calling, a purpose, for our lives and with that he has made provision for us to fulfill our calling.
The Salvation That Jesus Offers Us
Mark 10:27. When talking about how someone could go to Heaven and avoid Hell, someone asked Jesus how they could be saved. Jesus said, "...With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:24). This is why Jesus, the God-man, came on this Earth to save all of us from damnation, eternal separation from God. This is why Jesus is the one way to Heaven and the only path in our lives that does not lead to Hell. For more commentary on Jesus' path of salvation see links below.
Angels - The Natural and the Supernatural
Hebrews 1:14. Throughout the Bible many, many people witnessed angels. The literal definition of an angel means messenger, a messenger of God. God made angels for this purpose. Angels are different from humans. They are "ministering spirits (Hebrews 1:14,"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?". They can sin and be destined for Hell.
