Jacob and Laban - God Will Always Bless Us if We are Creating Value

Genesis 31:9: God will always bless us if we are creating value. This is our inheritance if we put our faith in God. Jacob's relationship with his father-in-law is a good example of faith and creating value. Jacob had always dealt fairly with Laban. First, with negotiating for Laban's daughter, Rachel, in marriage and then in Jacob working for him for many years. Even though Jacob kept his end of these bargains, Laban used trickery and deception to give as little as possible back to Jacob.

Woe Unto Them That Call Evil Good

Isaiah 5:20. It is so tempting to call something evil good, but in the end it will end in calamity and God's judgment. Isaiah 5:20 says, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" We must seek God's truth in everything we do.

Feeling Unloved Because You Are Out of Step With God

Deuteronomy 30:19. When you are having feelings of being unloved, you are in a time of transition. This could be problems with your marriage or any of your relationships. The real problem is your relationship with God. If you are feeling unloved, you are out of relationship with God.

2 Peter 2:14. The definition of adultery includes it being a sin in God’s eyes. Adultery is an unrighteous act. In no circumstances can it please God when you commit adultery. It is a Personal Responsibility To Sanctify Yourself

Joshua 7:13. Once you know that you have sinned and are willing to accept personal responsibility for your sin, you need to follow through on your responsibility. Jesus, our Lord and Savior, gives us the means to turn away from sin and set aside ourselves for God. Accepting personal responsibility for our sins means that we repent and sanctify ourselves before God.

God is not with you when you do not accept personal responsibility

Joshua 7:12. Not accepting personal responsibility for your sin, separates you from God. God departs from you when you do not acknowledge that you have sinned. His spirit leaves you. With unacknowledged sin, we live defeated lives and cannot face the enemies in our lives. The only way for us to get God back in our lives is by accepting personal responsibility for our sins.
