Hope, A Christian Value

Romans 8:24. Hope is a core Christian value. Hope is defined as “to believe, desire, or trust”. A Christian's hope is to believe the promises of Jesus Christ that He can redeem mankind and give us eternal life. All we have to do is accept His offer for Him to be our Lord and Savior. Once we accept Jesus, we must then truly make Him Lord of our lives by putting all our hope in Him. Our continuing hope in Jesus is critical to our eternal salvation. Hope enables us to persevere and patiently wait on Jesus' promises of eternal life.

Christian Kindness is Not Just an Act, But a Way of Life

Isaiah 54:10. God is a God of kindness and mercy. He shows us how we should show Christian kindness to others. God's kindness is eternal. It is not something He bestows on to mankind on special occasions. His kindness and mercy is offered to us always. It does not matter how much we are disobedient to God, how hateful we are to God, or how little faith we have in God. God's grace is eternal and it is a free gift that is offered to mankind.

The Bible Says That Patience is a Characteristic of God

2 Peter 3:9. The Bible says that God is a patient God. Many of us have heard the expression that “I am waiting on God”, but it is really the other way round. God is waiting on us to come around to His kind of thinking. God loves us and has made many promises to mankind. He desires to bless us. He does not forget His promises as a man might forget. He can fulfill all of His promises where a person may have good intentions, but is unable to fulfill their promises. God loves us and He has created mankind for His purposes.

Definition of Perfection - Mankind Can Be Perfect in God

2 Corinthians 7:1. The definition of perfection includes "completely suited for a particular purpose - completely corresponding to a description, standard, or type". From a Christian perspective, this definition of perfection means that perfection is all about us being holy. God has made us for His purpose to be holy and worship Him. Through the Bible He has given us His promises and standards to guide us in our daily lives. His Bible teaches us how to be without sin (to be obedient). He desires for us to line up with His standards and to be perfect and holy.

A Father-Child Relationship Includes Truth and Honor

Ephesians 6:2. Truth and honor are so important in a relationship between a father and a child. Fathers must always provide truth, honor, and love to their children. In turn, a father gets so much joy when his children are walking in truth (2 John 1:3-4, Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.) I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father").

Accepting Personal Responsibility Means Knowing That You Have Sinned

Joshua 7:11. Accepting personal responsibility for our actions is a big thing to God. This was shown to Israel when they started to conquer the Promise Land. When Achan had taken the accursed things at Jericho, God was very angry at Israel. He was angry because Israel had not acknowledge their sin (Achan's sin), and they had not accepted personal responsibility for their sin.
