Cleanness

Godliness - Be Cleansed With The Blood of Jesus and Pure Water

The saying, "Cleanliness is next to godliness”, is not actually a quote from the Bible, but there are scriptures that back up the saying. Hebrews 10:22 talks about having “our bodies washed with pure water”. Cleanliness is important in order to be “next to godliness”, but it takes more than cleanliness to be godly. Hebrews 10:22 also tells us that in order to be godly we must have a true heart, have faith, be sprinkled in the blood of Jesus, and have a good conscience.

Definition Of Greed - Greed Always Works Under False Pretenses

Luke 11:39. Another key aspect of the definition of greed is that it is deceptive. Greedy people are scammers. They will deceive others so that they can take from people what is not theirs (Matthews 7:15, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.").

Definition Of Compassion - Faith Brings God's Compassion

Mark 1:41. The definition of compassion includes having compassion for people that have faith in God. God has compassion for people that believe and trust in him. All you need to do is just believe that God has the power to perform miracles, and God will have compassion for you. This is what happen with the leper when he came to Jesus in Galilee. The leper just said "...If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean, And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean." (Mark 1:40-41).

Cleanse Us From Our Sin and All Unrighteousness

1 John 1:9. If we choose not to confess sins and not accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we cannot have a loving relationship with God. It does not matter to God why we choose not to confess our sins, be it out of ignorance, self-righteousness, or just a continuous desire to sin and be disobedient to God. God requires our total surrender to Him. God desires and requires that we confess sins and our sin nature.

The Blood Of Christ Purges Your Conscience From Dead Works

Hebrews 9:14. Jesus' desire through His blood is for us to completely purge our conscience and serve the living God (Hebrews 9:14, "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?").

Hebrews 9:14, "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"

The Blood of Jesus Is Our Only Hope To Serve God

Hebrews 9:14. At one time all of mankind became separated from God when sin entered into human nature as result of Adam's disobedience in the Garden of Eden. Because God is righteous, He cannot tolerate the sin in man's nature. To reconcile a sinful mankind back to the living God, Jesus offered us a free gift of salvation. He paid the price for our sins on the cross enabling mankind to have a relationship with God again. By us accepting this free gift from Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, His blood delivers us from the punishment of sin and dead works.
