Learning Patience Starts With Having Hope

Romans 15:4. Having hope is a key component in learning patience in our day-to-day lives. The Bible teaches us how to learn patience through having hope in God. Bible characters such as Abraham and David demonstrated both great hope and patience in their lives. Both of them had great faith and hope that God would provide for them and look after them. Because both of them believed the promises of God, they could be patience and endure hardships and many challenges that most men could not face. God desires all us to place our hope in Him. Part of keeping that hope is to have patience.

The Secret Knowledge, The Mystery Revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ

Romans 16:26. God is the source of all knowledge, both revealed and secret knowledge. God is who decides what knowledge is revealed to mankind and what knowledge is kept secret. This is what happened almost 2,000 years ago when God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to reveal the greatest mystery to mankind. This mystery was (is) Jesus Christ and His salvation plan for mankind. God in His timing and purpose revealed this great mystery to mankind in the form of Jesus Christ.

Beware A Born Again Christian Can Loose Faith

Galatians 1:6. The Bible is very clear that once you are a born again Christian this does not mean that you will always be a born again Christian. You have assurance of salvation because of God’s promises and your faith. At the same time you can by choice remove yourself from God and His salvation. You do that by returning to your sin and disobedience and not continuing in the grace of Christ (Galatians 1:6, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:”).

Resurrection Faith Brings Us From Death To Life

1 Corinthians 15:54. The actual resurrection of a dead person is hard for us to believe because everything we see in this world is corruptible. It is decaying, growing old, and dying. We see death and decay everywhere. We see people grow old, we see the leaves turn brown, we see things rust, and we see that every living thing has a physical death in this world. This is why Jesus' resurrection is so important for us to understand and believe. His resurrection demonstrated that He was not of this world. His death was swallowed up in victory.

No Greater Joy Than To Testify The Truth Of God

Acts 20:24. Another joy to being a Christian is the opportunity to testify the truth of God. It is the greatest joy when you are able to deliver God's word to another. Testifying of God's word is not just for preachers, but for any Christian. Anytime we can share God's truth with another human being, it is a joyous experience.

You Show Your Love Of God's Word When You Repent and Obey

Mark 1:15. The Bible is God's truth in written form. The Bible provides the evidence and the truth that there is only one God and that we can only have an everlasting relationship with Him through our mediator, Jesus Christ. The inspired words of the Bible provide evidence of the sinfulness and disobedience of all mankind that has separated us from a holy God. Only by us repenting of our sin nature, accepting the salvation of Jesus, and walking in God's truth can we be saved and be reconciled back to God.
