The Bible Says Sex Outside of Marriage Is A Sin That Will Be Punished
Revelation 21:8. All sin will be punished sooner or later by God. The Bible goes on to say that adultery and any type of sex outside of marriage is a sin. Even for someone not versed in the Bible, they know that especially adultery does not bring any good thing. The major thing it does is break up marriages and families. Even if you are not caught, it puts abnormal strains on relationships. Adultery or any type of sex outside of marriage distracts from the on-going task of sustaining and improving family relationships. It also distracts from our relationship with God, as we are putting sexual relationships above our relationship with God. In the end God will judge us for our unrepentant sin. In the Old Testament Bible, God’s punishment for sexual sin was death (Leviticus 20:10-21). In the New Testament God’s judgments for unrepentant sinners, adulterers and fornicators are Hell and the Lake of Fire (Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”).
