Why Am I Unhappy – You Deny Your Purpose and the Reality of God
Proverbs 24:12. If you are asking yourself “Why am I unhappy”, it may be because of you are in denial of God. Denying God can bring great unhappiness because you are denying your purpose and reason for living. Being in denial of God is a futile act that brings no satisfaction. If you have doubts about God, that is not a reason to deny Him. It is more of a reason to seek Him and to discover who He is and how you fit into His plan. Being in denial, hiding from the truth, and denying your own purpose makes for an unhappy person.
Denying God does not make it true and will make you unhappy. Proverbs 24:12 says, “If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth the soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?” Many times people deny God and His truth because if they acknowledged God they would feel obligated to act on God's Word. They think that by denying God that God will go away. With God out of the picture, they can do their own thing and be happy. This is a lazy and irresponsible way of thinking that leads to unhappiness. God as your creator has a purpose for your life. He has made you where that your happiness and joy will only come from fulfilling your purpose, your passion that God has for you.
