You Must Wait on the Holy Spirit to Baptize You
Luke 24:49. Jesus in Luke 24:49 tells us as Christians that we must wait on the Holy Spirit to baptize us (Luke 24:49, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high”). Jesus had promised and taught on the Holy Spirit many times during His ministry on Earth.
The Power of the Holy Spirit Enables Us to Do Good Works
Luke 4:18. The power of the Holy Spirit is provided to us for a purpose. The Holy Spirit's power is given to us to do good works. Being under the power of the Holy Spirit is a wondrous feeling that empowers us to do great things.

Luke 15:28. Jealousy and self-righteousness are not good causes for anger. The story of the prodigal son provides a great example of someone getting angry because of jealousy and self-righteousness. In this case, the prodigal son's brother was extremely angry when his father gave a great welcoming party for the prodigal son's return.
Annoyance: A Cause of Anger or An Inconvenient Truth?
Luke 4:28. One cause of anger is someone that annoys you. All of us come in contact with someone that disturb or bothers us. If this annoyance continues, many of us will eventually get angry which in turn will result in some type of action to stop the annoyance.
Astonishment Is What Creates A Passion for Jesus
Luke 24:32. A relationship with Jesus is an extremely passionate relationship. A passion for Jesus is a call for action that overcomes you when you encounter Jesus. This encounter is so life-changing that your only desire is to continue to have more and more encounters with Christ. Having a passion for Jesus is much like having an adrenaline rush.
Draw Away From Jesus And You Will Lose Your Passion
Luke 22:54. As long as Peter was close to Jesus, Peter was full of passion for Jesus. It is when Peter was separated from Jesus that his faith waned concerning Jesus. This is what happened to Peter when the Jews arrested Jesus. The book of Luke tells of Jesus' arrest and how Peter reacted to the arrest.
Resisting Temptation Through Vigilance and Prayer
Luke 22:46. In the Bible, Jesus tells us how to resist temptation. We must resist temptation by vigilance and prayer. Luke 22:46 says, “And said unto them, Why sleep ye?
Forgive, Condemn Not, Judge Not Lest You Be Judged
Luke 6:37. Jesus tells us to “Judge not lest you be judged”. He is telling us not to rely on ourselves and our own judgment. Without God (without Jesus) our human nature (our sin nature) is inclined to judge people, to condemn people, to hate people, and so on. Jesus is advising us to change our heart. Instead of our heart being a selfish heart, it needs to be a loving heart.

Summary of Luke 14. Jesus asks the Pharisees, "Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? Jesus then healed the man with the dropsy. Jesus then illustrates humility in the parable of the man at the wedding. Jesus tells a second parable of the dinner host where hospitality should favor the poor over the rich. Jesus tells a third parable of a man making invitations to a great supper.
Creating Success and Prosperity Comes From You Giving First
Luke 6:38. The Bible teaches us that by us unselfishly giving to others it will result in creating success for ourselves. Many people do not get this because they are shortsighted and thinking selfishly. A more long-term view is to think of giving as a way to add value and increase to the world around you. Eventually that increase will come back to you.

Luke 12:20. To understand the definition of values you need to have some examples of values. The parable of the rich fool in Luke 12 provides excellent examples of values. Basically, a value is a thing that someone values. The object of a value can range from material things to spiritual things. Material things include such things as food, money, cars, and houses to name a few.

Luke 21:19. The Bible has a lot to say about patience. Patience is a lot more than just a nice-to-have virtue. It is essential to your salvation.
God Have Mercy on Me a Sinner
Luke 18:13. In the parable of the Pharisee and the publican, the publican cried out to God saying, “have mercy on me a sinner” (Luke 18:13). The publican had true knowledge of God. He knew that he had fallen short of God's glory and that he was a sinner (this is the same situation for all of mankind – none of us are perfect by ourselves).
Giving out of Love and Repentance
Luke 19:8. One reason that Christians have a need for giving is because of the Godly repentance in their hearts. As part of repenting and turning away from sin, Christians yield willingly to God. The God in us then urges them to give generously to the people that they have hurt previously because of their sinful actions.
The Way To Happiness Is Being Found In Jesus Christ
Luke 15:24. From a Christian perspective there is only one way to happiness and that is through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way for us to be reconciled back to God and to have true joy. With happiness we are all like the prodigal son where we will try many ways to reach happiness.
