Joshua 19:8, Where we are weak, God is strong. Where we fear, God tells us to fear not. Many of God’s promises are to address our weaknesses, shortcomings, and fears. Sometimes we may have all we need to overcome adversity, but we get discourage and need encouragement from God. This was the case with Joshua.

Summary of Joshua 7. Joshua 7 tells us the story of Achan's sin and judgment. Secretly Achan had taken the accursed thing in Jericho in disobedience to God. God was angry with the children of Israel for Achan's sin. Joshua continued with the conquest of the Promise Land and sent men from Jericho to conquerer the country of Ai. Joshua's army soon fled from the men of Ali in defeat.
