Summary of Hebrews 9. The first covenant had ordinances of divine service and worldly sanctuary. Through this the high priest went once a year into the holy of holies with an offering for himself and for the errors of the people. But Christ being an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle.

Summary of Hebrews 12. Let us lay aside sin and run the race that is set before us. Looking upon Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Despise not the chastening from the Lord because like a father the Lord loves who he chastens. The Father chastens us for our profit that we may be partakers of his holiness. Follow peace with all men and holiness.

Summary of Hebrews 5. Christ is the eternal high priest of the order of Melchisedec.Through his obedience to God, Jesus was made perfect. He became the author of eternal salvation unto them that obey him. There are many things to learn from Christ, but many do not hear.

Summary of Hebrews 10. The law having a shadow of good things to come. The blood of bulls and of goats could not take sin away. The first sacrifices are taken away and we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all. This is the covenant that puts God's laws into their hearts and minds. There is no more need for offerings of sins.

Hebrews 13:4. The Bible is clear that sex is part of marriage and sex should not happen outside of marriage. There are a lot of arguments to live together before marriage, but none of them are supported by the Bible. If you live together before marriage it is a sin because you are being disobedient to God. God holds the marriage relationship as sacred.

Hebrews 13:1. In Hebrews 13:1, Paul tells us to “Let brotherly love continue”. Brotherly kindness and love are not acts that we do on special occasions. It is a lifestyle, a Christian way of life. Paul goes on in Hebrews chapter 13 to tell us what we need to do to have brotherly kindness. Brotherly kindness includes:

Hebrews 1:14. Throughout the Bible many, many people witnessed angels. The literal definition of an angel means messenger, a messenger of God. God made angels for this purpose. Angels are different from humans. They are "ministering spirits (Hebrews 1:14,"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?".

Hebrews 2:14. There is a power of darkness. It is made manifest by the power of sin and death. The scriptures tell us that the devil has the power of death ( Hebrews 2:14, "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;").

Hebrews 7:16. God's power results in endless life (Hebrews 7:16, " Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life"). We receive God's power of endless life through faith and trust in God. Jesus demonstrated on the cross that He has victory over death.
