Is Blaming Other People a Good Excuse for Denying God?
Exodus 32:23. Whenever we stray from God's purpose in our lives, most of us can come up with a good excuse to justify our actions. The number one excuse is for us to blame it on other people. This is what Aaron did in the Bible when he was confronted by Moses concerning the Golden Calf. Moses questioned Aaron on why he had led the Israelites into sin with the worship of the Golden Calf. Aaron answered Moses in Exodus 32:23 saying “For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him”). Aaron used the Israelites as an excuse on why he sinned against God. Blaming others for our shortcomings is no excuse. Many of us do fell obligated to fulfill the desires of others. This is what happened to Aaron. In these situations we may have good intentions to please others, but good intentions are no excuse to go against God.
EXODUS 32 BIBLE SCRIPTURE Exodus 32:23, “For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.”
