Insatiable Desire Breaks Covenant With God
Exodus 20:17. All things are made by God. Everything that we have was given to us by God. When we have an insatiable desire for things that are sinful or not ours, God gets very angry with us. We are breaking covenant with God. We are telling God that we know better than God what we need. We are telling God that we do not love Him and that these things that we covet are more important to us than Him. We show no love for our fellow man as in many cases the things we covet are possessed by our fellow man. God is very clear in when we should curb our insatiable desire in the things that our not ours (Exodus 20:17, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's").
EXODUS 20 BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Exodus 20:17, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's."
