Ephesians 5

Christian Marriage Relationships are based on Unconditional Love

Ephesians 5:25. The Bible tells us that Christian marriage relationships are based on unconditional love. Ephesians 5:25 says, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” God provides the best example of unconditional love.

To Live Together Before Marriage is Fornication

Ephesians 5:3. Fornication may seem like a harsh word to describe the act of two people living together before marriage, but it is the truth. A common definition of fornication is “voluntary sexual intercourse between two unmarried persons or two persons not married to each other”. This definition makes fornication and living together seem like something that is not that bad.

Christ Awakens the Conscience

Ephesians 5:14. One of the many things Jesus Christ did on this Earth was to awaken our conscience. He showed proof to us by His resurrection that there is a God and He has victory over death. Jesus demonstrated to us by His life on Earth how to walk in the light with both love and righteousness.
