Deuteronomy

Without the Love of God You Cannot Understand and Act on Prophecy

Deuteronomy 13:3. Only if you love God with all your heart, body, and soul, will you understand true prophecy. Many people may prophesy great and wondrous things about the future, but not all prophesies are from God.

The Futility of a Consumption Economy

Deuteronomy 31:20: In the Bible God tells us of the futility of a consumption economy. A consumption economy is when consumption of material goods becomes a way of life. This usually happens in societies that have abundance of material goods.

Feeling Unloved Because You Are Out of Step With God

Nature versus Nurture – Many Things May Influence Our Actions, But God Determines What Is Right and Wrong

Deuteronomy 29:29. God is the great revealer. He is the holder of all things that are true. Nature or our environment does not determine what is true or what is right. When we get caught up in the question of nature vs nurture, we are basically assuming that our genes or our environment are controlling our actions.

Is There A God?

Deuteronomy 4:35. Many of us ask ourselves, "is there a God?". We do this because we do not know Him even though there is ample evidence of His creation all around us. Others know deep in their hearts that there is a God, but they deny Him because they do not want to obey God. Others ignore God and His truth because they do not want to know the truth.

Fear Nothing Because You Have God's Promises

Deuteronomy 31:6. When we have a relationship with God, we can rely on His promises. We can be strong and of good courage.
