Deuteronomy 13:3. Only if you love God with all your heart, body, and soul, will you understand true prophecy. Many people may prophesy great and wondrous things about the future, but not all prophesies are from God.
The Futility of a Consumption Economy
Deuteronomy 31:20: In the Bible God tells us of the futility of a consumption economy. A consumption economy is when consumption of material goods becomes a way of life. This usually happens in societies that have abundance of material goods.
Feeling Unloved Because You Are Out of Step With God
Deuteronomy 30:19. When you are having feelings of being unloved, you are in a time of transition. This could be problems with your marriage or any of your relationships. The real problem is your relationship with God. If you are feeling unloved, you are out of relationship with God.
Secret Knowledge is Truth That God Has Not Revealed to Mankind
Deuteronomy 29:29. Secret knowledge is the providence of God. Organizations that profess to have secret knowledge or truth do not line up with the world of God. God is the source of all knowledge, both revealed knowledge and secret knowledge. When God reveals secret knowledge to a person or group of people, this truth is suppose to be revealed to all of mankind.
Definition of Perfection - Only God is Perfect
Deuteronomy 32:4. The definition of perfection includes "Being without defect or blemish: a perfect specimen". This definition of perfection defines God as well as Jesus who as a God-man walked on this Earth to show us His perfection. God is our Rock that provides us the perfect foundation of what is right and wrong.
Nature versus Nurture – Many Things May Influence Our Actions, But God Determines What Is Right and Wrong
Deuteronomy 29:29. God is the great revealer. He is the holder of all things that are true. Nature or our environment does not determine what is true or what is right. When we get caught up in the question of nature vs nurture, we are basically assuming that our genes or our environment are controlling our actions.
Is There A God?
Deuteronomy 4:35. Many of us ask ourselves, "is there a God?". We do this because we do not know Him even though there is ample evidence of His creation all around us. Others know deep in their hearts that there is a God, but they deny Him because they do not want to obey God. Others ignore God and His truth because they do not want to know the truth.
Fear Nothing Because You Have God's Promises
Deuteronomy 31:6. When we have a relationship with God, we can rely on His promises. We can be strong and of good courage.
Adultery Defined
Deuteronomy 22:22. The basic definition of adultery is from Deuteronomy 22:22. Adultery is “…lying with a woman married to an husband…” Adultery is any time a married person has sex with someone outside the marriage. God considers adultery a sin and it is one of the ten commandments (Exodus 20:14, “Thou shalt not commit adultery”).
