Child Discipline Is Done In Mercy
2 Samuel 7:15. Any discipline to a child must be done in mercy. We discipline a child not to judge the child. We discipline the child to help the child to create good habits. Discipline should always be done in mercy and not for the sole purpose of punishment. We must have mercy on a child just as God has mercy on us. Even if a child needs constant discipline, we must have mercy and never abandon the child (2 Samuel 7:14-15, "I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him...").
BIBLE SCRIPTURE: 2 Samuel 7:15, "But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee."
