Summary of 2nd Peter 2. Peter warns that there are false prophets that have ill intentions, but God will bring judgment to the ungodly. Peter describes the ungodly as brute beasts that will receive the reward of unrighteousness. They promise liberty, bu they are slaves of sin. Beware of backsliding like a dog who turns to his own vomit.

Summary of 2nd Peter 1. Peter tells of the divine power and promises given to all Christians. From our diligence and faith comes virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. As long as Peter is alive, he will stir up these truths in others to prevent their fall.

2 Peter 3:9. The Bible says that God is a patient God. Many of us have heard the expression that “I am waiting on God”, but it is really the other way round. God is waiting on us to come around to His kind of thinking. God loves us and has made many promises to mankind. He desires to bless us. He does not forget His promises as a man might forget.
