You Can Not Overcome Your Guilt if You Continue to Take Pleasure in Your Sin
2 Peter 2:13. It seems simple to say, but you cannot overcome guilt if you continue to take pleasure in what you know is wrong. When you feel guilty about doing something, this feeling of guilt is there for a reason. Guilt is not the spoiler of the party, it is really God telling you and showing you that you need to go to the next level.
The Bible Says That Patience is a Characteristic of God
2 Peter 3:9. The Bible says that God is a patient God. Many of us have heard the expression that “I am waiting on God”, but it is really the other way round. God is waiting on us to come around to His kind of thinking. God loves us and has made many promises to mankind. He desires to bless us. He does not forget His promises as a man might forget.
Definition of Adultery – It is a Sin
2 Peter 2:14. The definition of adultery includes it being a sin in God’s eyes. Adultery is an unrighteous act. In no circumstances can it please God when you commit adultery. Adultery starts where you lust for someone that you are not married to. You are not pleasing to God when you are “girl watching” because this becomes a slippery slope that will lead to adultery.
Dealing With Adultery – The Godly Are Delivered From Temptation
2 Peter 2:9. If you are in right relationship with God through Jesus Christ, you will not be tempted to sin. An example of a sin is to commit adultery. You can only effectively deal with any sin like adultery when you are in right relationship with God.
