1st Thessalonians

God Tells Us To Show Brotherly Kindness To Others

1 Thessalonians 4:9. Brotherly kindness and love comes from the Greek word “philadelphia”. It means kindness or friendship. The Bible teaches us that Christians must learn to have brotherly kindness toward others. We should treat everyone as we would treat our own kin or brother.

Love The Truth And It Will Work In You

1 Thessalonians 2:13. If you love the truth of God's word, you will delight in it. As you love the truth more and more, you will gain in faith and assurance of your salvation. The word of God will start to work within you as your love of the truth grows.

Definition of Lust

1 Thessalonians 4:5. The simple definition of lust is having a self-absorbed desire for an object, person, or experience. When we are in lust, we place the object of our desire above all things in our lives. When we are in lust, sensuality consumes us where we have no thoughts other than to fulfill the object of our desire.
