1st Kings 4:34. The wisdom scriptures of Solomon have the uncanny ability to be relevant to all that hear or read them. This is compelling evidence in itself that King Solomon received his wisdom directly from God.

1st Kings 4:32. King Solomon is the source of thousands of wisdom scriptures from the Bible (1st Kings 4:32, “And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.”). Solomon’s wisdom is special in that God specifically gave Solomon the gift of wisdom (1st Kings 3:12).

Summary of 1st Kings 3. Solomon loved the Lord and walked in the statutes of David his father. Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings upon the alter. The Lord appeared before Solomon in a dream and said to ask and he will give to him. Solomon asked for wisdom. God gave Solomon wisdom, riches, and honor. Solomon demonstrated his wisdom as in the case of deciding the mother of the Child.
