Spiritual Perfection Is Love, Without Fear

1 John 4:18. From a Christian perspective, spiritual perfection is based on love - love of God and love of people. This perfect love is "agape" love and is defined as unmerited favor. This Godly love casts out the fear in our lives and leads the way for us to be spiritually perfect. God was the first to show us this perfect type of love and He desires for us to show this perfect love to Him and others. God is love and He is perfect. He desires for us to be the same way, too. If we truly believe that he loves us, we can confidently love others in this perfect love. In perfect love we can love everyone and everything. When we are in perfect love there is no room for fear. If we truly love everyone and everything, fear cannot enter into our lives any more to torment us (1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love").
