Our Holy Nature Includes God's Special Relationship With Our Body
1 Corinthians 3:16. The Bible says that our physical body is for the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:13, "Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body."). God made us and our body for His purpose and not for our purposes. Yes, God gave us free will which includes deciding what we do with our body, but His desire is for us to use our body in a Godly manner. This is a key part of man being holy. God desires for us to freely love Him and to make our body His holy temple. (1Corinthians 3:16,17, "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.").
